Today I worked on updating my animatic. I went through with the feedback from last class (9/15) and made some adjustments.
1) I updated her expressions and made her seem a little less angry/more likable in the first half of the film.
2) I updated her size relationship to her room and edited some of the background details to age her up just a bit so that she seems a little older, more like a tween than a large child.
3) I added a couple quick cuts back to her face in certain areas (while speeding up preexisting ones) so that the audience can see her reaction and gauge how she's feeling.
4) I changed some of the written sound effects to be a little less aggressive
5) Lastly, I added a bit more of a....story? I mean it is a story but I added a second character (that is seen only in letters/photos). She's the main characters best friend who lives in another country. I changed up the beginning a little to show their relationship around the room. She is also the one who now sends a pack of seeds to the main character in the mail, thus giving her a reason to care for the plant since it is symbolic as a living extension of their friendship.
I have then been working on moving these updated scenes to Harmony in separate scene files! A productive day, but there is still a lot I need to get done.
