Above is my rough storyboard for my short film "Growth," which follows the story of a tween girl, Sam, who grows a plant at the same time as her best friend that lives overseas as a way of connecting even though they can not be together physically. As we watch Sam care and tend to the plant, it is also a way of representing her putting time into and building a relationship with her best friend (and growing in her own right).
